1st Rhode Island Volunteer Infantry (1898-1898) - Organized and mustered into the service of the United States at Quonsett Point, R. I., May 10 to 17, 1898, with 46 officers and 958 enlisted men.

Mustered out of the service of the United States at Columbia, S. C., March 30, 1899, with 45 officers and 1,039 enlisted men. Casualties while in service: Officers-none. Enlisted men-died of disease, 11; killed by accident, 1; deserted, 89.
