Welcome to FortWiki

Welcome! It's nice to have a gun expert aboard. You'll find FortWiki is much more laid back than Wickedpedia, for one thing far fewer people involved: and we try to behave. (As for me, I'm no expert in anything, just a transcriber, but John Stanton our host is either sleeping still or lounging about in some Canadian fort right now, so I beat him to it!)

Happy editing,

I chafe under some of Wikipedia's guidelines, especially the War on Capitalization. However, since few others are working my topics, I don't get much feedback, good or bad. Anyway, I'm sure I can behave here. A number of tech manuals for guns have been taken out of the basement stacks and digitized, and they're free on the Net. I'd say my most complex gun article on Wikipedia was "6-inch gun M1897" (including subsequent variants though the T2/M1), which I wrote myself. I think there were six variants included in the article. I plan to add the three variants of the 4.72" Armstrong gun to the gun list at FortWiki.

Boy am I not the clearest writer! I didn't mean in the least to suggest that you might misbehave! Rather, that, despite the strain on my system, I don't… At any rate, it's nice you should share here.
