Fort Place (1830s-unknown) - A Seminole War settler Fort established in the 1830s near present-day Wewahitchka, Gulf County, Florida. Abandoned in unknown. HistoryFort Place was built in the early 1830s as a settler refuge from hostile Indians. The fort consisted of a hewn-log block-house equipped with portholes for firearms.
