- Participated in Santiago campaign
- Left Santiago August 25; arrived at Montauk Point, New York, August 29
- Left Montauk Point September 7; arrived at Chicago, Ill., September 10
- Furloughed for sixty days from September 13
Mustered out of the service of the United States at Chicago, Il., November 17,1898, with 49 officers and 1,185 enlisted men. Casualties while in service: Officers-none. Enlisted men-died of disease, etc., 84.
