Finlayson Point Battery (1878-1893) - A Canadian 64-pounder coastal gun battery in Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Deactivated in 1893.

Finlayson Point Battery History

Part of the Harbor Defense of Victoria and Esquimalt Harbors.

A coastal gun battery located on the high ground of Finlayson Point. Armed with two naval rifled muzzle-loading (RML) 64-pounder coastal guns on naval pattern wooden carriages and slides, front pintle mounts.

Current Status

Small stone marker only, no period guns or mounts in place.
