65th New York Volunteer Infantry (1898-1898) - Organized and mustered into the service of the United States at Hempstead, N. Y., May 17, 1898, with 50 officers and 980 enlisted men.

  • Assignments:
    • Assigned to First Brigade, First Division, Second Army Corps, May 20
  • Movements:
    • Left Hempstead May 19; arrived at Camp Alger, Virginia, May 20
    • Left Camp Alger September 4; arrived at Buffalo, N. Y., September 5
    • Furloughed for thirty days September 7

Mustered out of the service of the United States at Buffalo, N. Y., November 19, 1898, with 46 officers and 1,242 enlisted men. Casualties while in service: Officers- none. Enlisted men-died of disease, 17; killed by accident, 1; deserted, 12.
