Battle of Fort Sumter

Battle of Fort Sumter (12 Apr 1861-14 Apr 1861) - A U.S. Civil War Battle fought between Union forces under Major Robert Anderson, (Cullum 406), 1st U.S. Artillery, and Confederate forces under Brigadier General P.G.T. Beauregard, CSA, (Cullum 942). Known by Union forces as Battle of Fort Sumter, known by Confederate forces as the same. A Confederate victory and Fort Sumter was captured.
