Fort Beversreede - A Dutch Colonial Fort in the Schuylkill area of present-day Philadelphia, probably within today's city of Philadelphia.

History

Established on April 27, 1648 by Andries Hudde in furtherance of the trade in beaver furs with the Minquas. Its exact site is unknown, but it stood near Fort Nya Korsholm, founded by the Swedes a few years later.
