Hupp's Fort (1755-176?) - A settler fortification established in 1755 during the French & Indian War by Peter Hupp in Strasburg, Shenandoah County, Virginia. Abandoned as a fortification in the 1760s.
Hupp's Fort History
This fort was a settler defense stockade built around the limestone house of Peter Hupp.
Current Status
Two markers located near the still existing house on private property in Strasburg, Shenandoah County, Virginia.
