Are you interested in aboriginal fortifications? At Smelt Bay Provincial Park, Cortes Island BC, mounds believed to have been constructed by Cast Salish First Nations people as defense against Haida raiders can be seen. http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/smelt_bay/
