Battery AMTB 922 (1943-194?) - Battery AMTB 922 was a reinforced concrete World War II AMTB rapid fire 90mm gun battery on Fort Getty, Newport County, Rhode Island. Battery construction started 25 Jun 1943, was completed 6 Aug 1943 and transferred to the Coast Artillery for use 23 Dec 1943 at a cost of $ 4,651. Deactivated in 194?. Battery AMTB 922 HistoryPart of the Harbor Defense of Narragansett Bay.
Current StatusPart of Fort Getty City Park, Jamestown, Conanicut Island, Newport County, Rhode Island. No period gun or mounts in place.
