Fort Meade (2) (1917-Present) - First established in 1917 as Camp Meade and renamed Fort Leonard Wood (2) in 1928 and renamed Fort Meade (2) in 1929. Named after MG George G. Meade who commanded Union forces at Gettysburg during the U.S. Civil War. Active military installation.
