Camp Curtis (1862-1865) - A Union U.S. Civil War Camp established in 1862 by Captain George W. Ousley, 1st California Volunteer Battalion of Mountaineers, in present day Arcata, Humboldt County, California. Perhaps named for Major James F. Curtis, commander at nearby Camp Lincoln (4). Abandoned in 1865. Also known as Camp on Janes Farm. Current StatusMarker only, private property, Arcata, Humboldt County, California.
