Fort Fayette (1) (1791-1814) - A U.S. Army post established as Fort Franklin (3) in 1791 as a replacement for Fort Pitt (1) in present day Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Commonly known as Fort Fayette. Abandoned in 1814. Also known as Fort La Fayette. Current StatusMarker only in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
